Description
The SICK ICD8xx Series Image-based Code Reader is ideal for sorting processes that operate at very high conveyor speeds. 1D / 2D codes as well as postal codes are reliably identified thanks to the integrated, high-quality camera, which enables this product line's use in OCR, video coding and vision applications, without the need for an additional server or PC. The ICD8xx Series also features reduced shadow impacts, along with a minimal system footprint due to the 55° skew of the camera angle. This sensor series runs off a Linux-based software program, with Ethernet-based code data transmission when operated in conjunction with the SIM2000 Series controller. The sensor can be used both for narrow conveyor widths as well as for widths up to 1,600mm. This range can be extended to include products such as a volume measurement system.
Applications
- Sorting processes in the fields of transport and logistics
- Image acquisition and storage for OCR, video coding, archiving and vision applications
