Description
The SICK CSS/CSX High Speed Series Color Sensor offers a high switching frequency of 13.8kHz and highly adjustable sensitivity. L*a*b or RGB values are output by the sensor (up to 15 when binary coded without interface), as well as a comparison between a taught-in and detected color. Color matching is precisely logged thanks to a scaled system from 000 up to 999 (a complete match). As many as 24 detected colors per task can be transmitted via the optional IO-link interface to an external device for data storage. The advanced color detection system of the CSS/CSX High Speed Series also includes sensitivity to gradients, and the ability to distinguish between textile and natural materials. Setup configuration is easily handled via SICK's user-friendly SOPAS software.
Applications
• Mark and object positioning
• Fast sorting of objects in automotive/machine construction, intralogistics, bottling industries
