Description

The SICK IDF Series Proximity Sensor is a film sensor that detects double layers in film stack processes such as in battery production. The sensor family can reliably determine whether a suction gripper has picked up one or several films and ensure the unwanted double film is immediately sorted out. Due to the compact size, the sensor can be integrated directly into the gripper. In contrast to other solutions, the IDF Series does not need a receiver unit. This allows it to detect film as soon as they are picked by the gripper, speeding up the process times. Teaching-in different films is done in mere seconds, and can be performed either by teach-in via a cable or via the IO-Link.
