Description

The SICK LBV300 Series Level Sensor is a durable, highly accurate vibration level switch which signals full, empty, or demand states in bulk materials. The non-contact switch detects changes in density via the tuning fork, operating independent of silo shape or tank material used. The stainless steel construction of the fork is piezo-electrically energized, vibrating at its resonance frequency when covered. Detection of this change in coverage is converted into the switching signal. The compact housing of the standard variants are designed for horizontal mounting, and optimally-designed for signal of full states. The LBV320 cable-extended and LBV330 tube-extended variants can be used for vertical mounting in silos. These models help bridge sensing ranges up to 80m for the cable-extended version, and 6m for the tube-extended version. Extensive thread and flange connections offer high flexibility to meet various application needs, with ATEX certified configurations for explosive atmospheres.
