Description

The SICK multiScan100 Series Lidar and Radar Sensor utilizes technology for people and object detection within a 3D point cloud. This point cloud enables detection across expansive areas, as well as large machines. This sensor family can be used with both mobile and stationary applications, with reliable detection of drop-off edges. The multiScan100 Series is easily integrated across a range of systems. The 16 high-resolution scan layers, large scanning ranges (upon request), among other specialized features can be configured to meet various application requirements. A system plug for common interfaces permits quick and flexible implementation.

Applications

  • 3D environment perception, localization, mapping and collision avoidance
  • Stationary access control of machines and buildings
  • Monitoring of traffic and smart cities:
    • counting of vehicles and people, monitoring of infrastructure nodes, detection of movement patterns
