Description

The SICK NAV3xx Series Lidar and Radar Sensor is a part of the NAV product line, built to support highly accurate and reliable navigation of automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Unrestricted spatial location of positions is performed via reflector marks, this allows the route to be changed virtually within the AGV computer, offering maximum flexibility and responsiveness. The NAV3xxx Series provide high speed, highly accurate spatial contour data including distance, angle, remission, as well as reflector data, with a scanning path of up to 360 degrees. Measurements of each reflector are converted into coordinates, permitting precise transmission of position data, even if the face of shifting ambient conditions. Through reliance on mixed-mode navigation, line-guided vehicles are able to travel in areas where it is not feasible to install reflector marks.

Applications

  • Automated guided vehicles, cleaning robots and tow trucks
  • Determination of system positions, absolute and relative to each other
  • Permanent reference system for line-guided AGVs
  • Deep stacking
