Description

The SICK LMS4000 Series Lidar and Radar Sensor is a high-speed sensor with a 600Hz scanning frequency for use in intralogistics, material handling and various other applications in which goods must be systematically analyzed and moved. This product family offers a reliable, precis solution for measuring, evaluating and processing objects in terms of position, shape, volume and surface quality. These sensors offer high sampling density and a wide measuring range for fast and precise data regardless of object position in containers, cartons or pallets, and regardless of whether objects are are free-standing or in contact with one another. When this sensor is used with SICK's NOVA, the scanned data can be immediately analyzed and aggregated into a turnkey application solution.

Applications

  • Measurement component in volume measurement systems in logistics centers and hubs
  • Position and dimensions determinations for automated palletizing and depalletizing by robots
  • Creation of 3D point clouds for further processing (with SICK Nova)
