The SICK AFS/AFM60S Pro Series Safety Encoder is an absolute encoder optimally designed for functional safety. This series meets IEC 61800-5-3 criteria and is a certified safety product up to SIL3/PL e. This absolute encoder supports the safety function in compliance with IEC 61800-5-2 standards. Thanks to the high enclosure rating and large temperature range, the AFS/AFM60S Pro Series can be used in harsh environmental conditions. With the SSI and sin/cos interface, integration into a range of different controls is simplified. Singleturn resolution, counting direction and other parameters can be adapted individually. Additionally, the integrated error memory detects important ambient data, which provides support during installation and maintenance.
