Description

The SICK WLL80 Series Fiber-Optic Sensor is a new generation of fiber-optic amplifiers using either infrared or visible red light, designed for applications with limited installation space. This series also offers reliable detection of transparent objects thanks to the continuous threshold adaptation (CTA). This is a smart sensor product family with an integrated IO-Link with advanced functionality, including debouncing and counter Smart Tasks. The IP54-rated plastic enclosure protects the unit from dust and water during operation processes. The 16µs maximum response time and a sensing range--up to 20m when configured with a through-beam system, and 1.4m as a proximity system--offers versatility and high accuracy. The functional principle is determined by the fibers the sensor is being integrated with, contact a Motion World engineer to confirm your application needs. The OLED display offers user-friendly parameterization, in addition to external adjustment via the IO-Link.
