Description

The SICK W9 Series Photoelectric Sensor offers precise detection of small objects and object features. This product series can be reliably used in harsh industrial environments. Functional designs include photoelectric proximity sensors, photoelectric retro-reflective sensors, as well as through-beam photoelectric sensors. All sensor variants are equipped with advanced laser and LED technology, and are enclosed in durable VISTAL housing. The W9 Series integrates SICK´s SIRIC technology, which effectively suppresses optical and electromagnetic interference. With various connection types, mounting and sensing options, the W9 Series sensors are an ideal solution for a variety of application needs in the automation environment.

Applications

• Detection of the smallest work pieces or fine details on products
• Detection through narrow openings
• Checks for protrusions or misalignment
• Detection of objects within a short distance from difficult backgrounds
• Detection of transparent objects
• Object detection in harsh industrial environments
